Welcome to “MY JOURNEY” – a space dedicated to sharing experiences that have been part of her journey.  At the center of this mission is Towanda Brown, a passionate advocate for education, community development, and self-representation in legal matters. Her first book is “Empowering Pro-Se Litigants” – a booked focused on empowering individuals who are navigating the complexities of the legal system on their own.  A foundational motto is “Unchecked Spirits Get Stronger” which is meant to provide encouragement to set boundaries against attitudes and behaviors that are meant to be destructive to you accomplishing your goals and purpose.

For more than 34 years, Towanda has called Howard County, Maryland home. During this time, she has raised two accomplished African-American sons while also emerging as a strong voice for advocacy, ensuring that her family and community have access to fair opportunities in education and beyond.

Her story is one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to justice—not only for herself but for all who seek the strength and knowledge to stand up for their rights when facing daunting legal challenges.
